Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, of English origin. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
